As the airplane taxied out into the runway, Jessica Monroe could feel the vibrations of the engine through her seat or was it her nerves shaking her so hard. She could not believe that she was going on this trip to Vegas with her friends. At some point she thought or hoped that they would say it was a big joke and that they really were just going to bar hop on the strip. But it never happened and they were on their way to a BDSM ranch.

Every year Jessica and her friends from college would do a girls retreat, taking turns picking a trip for that year to experience something new. Hope was the first one to pick and the women went skydiving, which they all loved from the moment she suggested it. Felicia was next and choose to go to Alaska in the winter, which they loved the idea, but hated the reality of it. Jessica had chosen for them to go hiking in Canada last year, which they enjoyed until their muscles relaxed overnight. But this year's trip Lynn wanted to go to a BDSM ranch. Which at first they were all against.

Jessica had known Lynn longer than the others because they met when they toured the college at the Open House Day that was held for those considering the school. They had exchanged phone numbers and kept in touch and had even become roommates. Jessica knew that Lynn had been a virgin until she had turned twenty-one, losing it her ex-boyfriend after making him wait until they had dated for four months. So when she suggested this trip she was shocked to say the least.

The ladies had decided to do a video chat since Jessica and Hope lived in different states and Lynn and Felicia lived in the same city just minutes apart.

You want to go where? Felicia yelled at Lynn, who was sitting next to her. I vote we skip Lynn and not do anything this year.

No, no, no, Lynn yelled back. It's my turn and this where I want to go.

Are you pulling our chain? You can't be serious about this, Hope chimed in.

I am, very serious, Lynn said, lowering her voice. Look, I know this is a little out there, but none of us are in a relationship and no one will know we went there, but us.

You think this is a little out there? I would hate to see what you consider a lot out there, Felicia shot back.

I have done a lot of research in this for over two years. This is not something that just came to me overnight. I just want to see if it is something I would be into. I like the spanking thing and want to see what else I might like.

But do you have to drag us along with you on your little freak test? Felicia asked.

Jessica just listened as her friends went back and forth with Lynn about her choice to go a BDSM ranch for a week. She could tell by what they each had to say that they had no real idea about it, even Lynn with all her research was clueless. But Jessica had first-hand knowledge. The knowledge that she had never shared with any of her friends and knowledge she wanted to forget and wished she didn’t have.

Jessica, say something. Tell them this is not as bad as it sounds, Lynn said, trying to bring Jessica to aid her.

What? Jessica said into the monitor.

Tell them this is not a bad idea, Lynn said as if she was pleading for an ally.

I can't say that Lynn, when you want us to volunteer to go have sex and be beaten, and God knows what else, by strangers. You got to see how that sounds to us, Jessica said, wanting to make Lynn understand what she was asking of them and to see it from their prospective.

Lynn sat in silence for a moment, thinking before she spoke again. I understand where everyone is coming from and I would never ask you guys to sleep with strangers or let someone hit you. I have looked into the ranch and you don't have to participate if you don't want to. It's set up like a school for people to watch, to see if they are interested in the lifestyle and see which side of it appeals to them. The dominant side or submissive side.

Lynn, do really want to watch them? I would feel like a peeping tom, Hope said.

Do you really want to do this? Felicia asked before Lynn had a chance to answer Hope's question.

Yes, Lynn said facing Hope then turned to Felicia to respond to her. I just want to see if it is something for me and I don't want to find out with some psycho who doesn't know what he is doing and get hurt.

"As the ladies sat in silence thinking, some thinking harder than others, Jessica understood Lynn’s last point very well and on a personal level.

I'll do it, Felicia said being the first to break the silence and shocking everyone at the same time with her response.

Seriously? Hope asked with surprise in her voice.

"Yes. If I do not
