‘Sorry if I wasn’t always nice to you’

Lisa had a touch of the Monday blues as she drove along the road that led to the office building where she worked. She enjoyed her job as a marketing manager for a soft drinks brand, but this morning she had just wanted to stay in bed next to Jack, her husband, who had retired at the age of 57.

She sighed as the traffic ahead ground to a halt at another red traffic light. It started to rain, which did nothing to lift her mood.

She glanced at the row of commuters sitting at the bus stop just a few feet away. They all looked as impressed as she was by the turn in the weather.
