About this ebook
This book is a clear step-by-step handbook for busy managers-leaders. Your daily business routine is the only team building exercise you really need!
Team development is about strategy, not tactics!
Spending money on classic team building may be OK, but why walk if you can drive, and why drive if you can fly? The covered methods takes less time, need less money and give far better results. Using the exercises covered in this book can give your team more benefits in 1 hour than a 1-day long traditional team building event.
If you need a fun team building activity at a bowling centre do that, but stay away from bold speeches about team effectiveness. Those are two totally different things.
Close to your daily reality! No special preparation or set up! No special materials! No additional costs! No day off needed! Every manager can apply it without any special skills!
THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF:
A. You are a business team leader / manager!
B. You are not satisfied with traditional team building results!
C. You want to see clear and measurable results much faster than your daily business routine can provide them!
It’s not a rocket science and is really easy to apply.

FOREWORD
You need a team so you can achieve business goals one by one, step by step? I’m talking about real tangible business results. Common respect, a great working environment, and motivated staff are not business goals but just a precondition, a tool.
This book is all about developing teams and reaching tangible business goals in a short period of time.
The world today is full of empty words and unmeasurable promises. Team building is one of them. People want to gain success nice and easy without leaving their comfort zone. The outcome - people believe more in the law of attraction and start to ignore the stop complaining, kick yourself
approach. The team development method covered in this book is easy to apply with fast results, BUT ANYWAY you have to do it, and not only think about it.
This book is practical. You are a team leader, not a scientist. You don’t need to know every smallest team development detail. Applying guidelines for creating a stable team development platform and all five exercises gives clear results 100%. Why? It’s more important what you are doing and not knowing. I’ve met many leaders who are ready to talk about negative synergy, but forget to motivate the team when it’s necessary. It’s like an 80/20 rule: Applying only 20% of all team development tools, you can achieve 80% of the necessary result.
These five exercises aren’t even real exercises that you are used to; they are like a normal daily routine where you talk about your team performance. I know many team building activities are based on discussions, and most of them generate topics for the next discussion but no business results. Somebody (especially traditional team building trainers and coaches) will say these five exercises aren’t real team building at all. And you know I don’t care; I care about your team’s performance. That’s it!
I wouldn’t recommend team building as a tool for making your team more effective. In far too many cases it’s just a waste of time and money. It may be helpful, it’s fun, and it’s interesting no doubt about it, but what you are looking for? There is a place in the market for such events, but it’s not about team performance.
