Improving Your Mindset
Attitude is Everything
Attitude is everything when it comes to fitness. You must be determined to take the time and effort a fitness regimen requires or it will never happen.
Attitude is important to achieving anything. When you are not motivated, any excuse is enough to stop you from achieving your goal. Conversely, when you are motivated, you can’t be stopped. Many people are successful because they know exactly what they want and they will stop at nothing to get it.
The most popular excuse for not exercising is I don't have time.
There are only 24 hours in a day, and there’s nothing you can do to change that. Most people schedule their day based on what their priorities are. If your friends can find the time to exercise, what is holding you back? Usually it’s your motivation. One way to get motivated is find the exercise which appeals most to you. You are more likely to follow through when you enjoy something.
Once you are motivated enough to get your body in shape, the next step is to watch your food intake. This includes fat content, calories, and other things. Most people say they don’t want to take the time to read labels for nutrition information. However, this is just as important as working out. Bad fuel in the body does not help it get fit. Reading labels will become a part of your routine just like anything else once you get started. After a while, you will have an idea of the nutritional value of different foods without looking at the label closely.
So, if you are looking to get a fit body, stop thinking and start doing. Once you decide this is a priority in your life, you will find the time to do the things you need to do. Hopefully, you make this decision before someone (like a doctor) makes it for you.
Getting Back Into the Exercise Groove
Many people have confronted the reality of beginning a workout routine all over again. Returning to the exercise groove is not easy for anyone. However, with the proper mindset, you can be back in it before you know it. Here are some tips to help you get back on track:
Change your thinking. Set achievable fitness goals instead of lofty goals based on where you were before the break. Putting a list in writing is a good way to achieve your goals. It also helps you come up with a plan on how to accomplish them.
Plan ahead. Plan your regimens ahead of time. You'll be more likely to follow through if you have a plan. Scheduling time for your workout in advance will help you follow through with it. Be sure to pack your gym bag before you go to bed at night, too, for a little extra motivation.
Be consistent. Humans are creatures of habit and naturally yearn for consistency. Determine your workout schedule and include it in your planner. Before long your body will become accustomed to the regimen and will let you know when it’s time to exercise.
Kinetic Energy. A body in motion stays in motion. After you get started, you will become more motivated to continue your routine as you start to feel
