Introduction
Tender Peace meditations are a testimony to the power of creativity to transform our feelings. When I learned that babies from six months were to be included in the Early Years Curriculum with a focus on literacy and numeracy, I was both deeply upset and angry. What I wish for babies is tenderness, beauty and time for a loving connection with nature. As I allowed these strong emotions to work within me, I was gifted with inspiration.
In the recognition of this inspiration, there was also relief. I felt both peaceful and elated. The desperation and urgency had transformed, catalysed and I was the catalyst. This was a whole body process, just like giving birth. It could not be forced. I had to wait patiently and be ready for movement.
As the year turned and in the depths of the dark January days of 2006, the moonlight was powerful. It was the year of Lunar
