This bold and elegant floral masterpiece is worked in the round with eight repeating sections. If you wish, the center can be finished with a single large button or with a series of knots in a contrasting yarn.

Fingering weight yarn: 90 yds color of choice (MC), small amount of CC
Size 2 (2.75 mm) double-point (set of 5) and 16-inch circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

1-inch button or small bits of contrasting yarn (optional for center)

28 sts and 36 rnds = 4 inches in St st.
Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
Special Abbreviation
Make 1 (M1): Insert LH needle from front to back under the running thread between the last st worked and next st on LH needle; knit into the back of resulting loop.
Pattern Note
Switch to circular needle when there are enough stitches to do so.
