Introduction
If you’re new to mitten making, this book will introduce you to a world of exciting projects and techniques. In the pages to follow, you’ll discover four different knitting methods for creating your mittens. As you learn and adapt to these methods, you may find that you favor working in one style over another.
The Methods:
1. Working on double-point needles
2. Working on two circular needles
3. Using the Magic loop method on one circular needle
4. Working back and forth using straight needles
You’ll also learn how to apply the following four stitch and color combinations to your knitted creations that will add interest and excitement to your mittens:
1. Fair Isle
2. Intarsia
3. Twining
4. Drop Stitch
Once you master these useful techniques, you’ll be inspired time and time again to share the love
and make mittens for all those special gift-giving occasions.

If you are new to working with double-points, it may feel awkward at first. This is normal and, as with any new endeavor, will go away with time as you become more comfortable manipulating multiple needles.
Casting on
Cast on one-third the desired number of stitches onto the first needle. Holding the second needle parallel and below the first, cast on another one-third of the stitches. Hold the third needle parallel below the first two and
