Doily is worked in joined rounds, some of which are turned, while others are worked in the same direction as the previous round. Do not turn unless otherwise stated.

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Chain-4 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet and chain-1 unless otherwise stated.

Making long stitches with 3 or 4 yarn overs can leave loose loops at tops of stitches. To prevent this, pinch yarn-over loops on the hook and slide them around the hook toward yourself each time you are instructed to “yarn over, draw through 2 loops on hook.” This keeps loops on
