Hemingway is presumably the only writer who rose to the appreciable heights through his simple and uncomplicated writing style. He never went for ostentatious display of words and sentences, and that is why he is favorite among the readers from all classes.

Introduction

Ernest Hemingway was the Nobel Prize winning author from America. His economical and understated prose style greatly influenced the 20th century fiction. The Old Man and the Sea, For Whom the Bell Tolls, A Farewell to Arms are some of his best fiction works. His laconic style has been able to retain its charm even today.

Some of the lines which he used so precisely in his novels have become popular quotations today, and very often writers and scholars quote his lines in their speeches or works. He lived a life full of adventures, and it gave him enough opportunities to meet different people from different parts of the world.
