The first time my husband suggested that I fuck another man, I thought that he was joking. We were having drinks and watching baseball at our neighborhood pub. I flipped through a newspaper while he watched the TV above the bar. Just two beers, I'd made him promise, though I was contemplating sticking around for a third instead of going home and dealing with errands. And being alone with him. I didn't know when or where the shift happened. Nothing in particular was wrong, nothing I could articulate. It was just that our comfortable silences had become uncomfortable.

I turned and looked. A big bear of a man had walked through the door. He sauntered to the bar as if he owned the place.

He looked nothing like Seth. My husband was close to my height, with light hair and eyes. He was in good shape, but fairly lean. And he couldn't grow a beard to save his life. The newcomer, though, was very tall, and broad. The outlines of thick muscles were visible beneath his shirt once he removed his jacket. And he had a big, dark, bushy beard.

That's not very funny, I sighed. Sure, the stranger was attractive, but I loved my husband and had never nor would ever cheat on
