    DEDICATION

To my two grandchildren, Blake and Breonna Batchelor.

At the end of his second grade school year, Blake’s assignment was to write a book.

His story was about a rainbow, a leprechaun and a pot of gold.

That little story, born in the imagination of an eight-year old was the inspiration for this Rainbow Road series of children’s books.

I have discovered that children do have special powers, the power to capture the heart of an old man.

*The idea for this Christmas story came from eight-year old Blake Batchelor.

If we're not here Christmas morning, how will Santa Claus know where we are? she moaned.

Oh good grief, Bree ---- Blake started to say, but Wendy interrupted and gave him the 'mother' look.

    Blake Edward! Don't you dare!

Blake knew from experience that when his mom used his middle name, she was dead serious.

    Yes, Ma'am.

That won't be a problem, Bree. We'll just write a letter to Santa and let him know what resort we're staying in. He does this all the time.

Bree brightened immediately. Great ! When do we leave?
