Description

Look out everyone, it's a flood of books! In today's episode I look at two different Christmas traditions - Jólabókaflóð the Icelandic celebration of books at Christmas, and Epiphany, the holiday that commemorates the Magi's visit to the baby Jesus.  In the Jólabókaflóð segment, I participate in the Christmas Carol Book Tag prompt in which I answer 8 Christmas Carol inspired questions about books. In the Epiphany segment, I read the account of the Magi from Matthew Chapter 2, and then I read a couple of poems by Cecil Frances Alexander: "Once in Royal David's City" and "The Adoration of the Wise Men". I take a few minutes to reflect on the lessons from the story of the Wise Men. I don't know how you are supposed to celebrate Epiphany, but I enjoyed putting this together. Oh, and tucked in between the segments is a wonderful listener memory from Rick. I know you'll enjoy his story, and we are going to hear more from him in the future.
