    DEDICATION

To my two grandchildren, Blake and Breonna Batchelor.

At the end of his second grade school year, Blake’s assignment was to write a book.

His story was about a rainbow, a leprechaun and a pot of gold.

That little story, born in the imagination of an eight-year old, was the inspiration for this Rainbow Road series of children’s books.

Lucky showed them a beautiful pot of gold coins, some of which had the ability to bestow a super power on the fortunate person that possessed the coin.

    But you had to believe.

Blake was given the power of X-Ray Vision and with Breonna’s help, learned to use this power to help the people of Lucky’s village.

After returning to their own home, they had been anxiously awaiting the next rainy day and the rainbow that would follow. But to their dismay, every day had been sunny and warm.

During the school year, bedtime for the kids was nine o’clock sharp, but with school out, Dad relented.

OK, you may watch the news, but then it’s off to bed.

They sat through stories of car wrecks, pollution and politics and, at last, the weatherman appeared.
