Two simple zero cost methods to deseeding pomegranates, NO special equipment required. Pomegranates are a wonderful fruit surrounded by a swath of bitter pith that makes the pomegranate eating experience less than favorable. Removing the seeds from the pomegranate can be time consuming and very messy. However there are two secret approaches that can be used to easily remove the seeds within a few minutes without the mess. They are;
The Wet Method, Ideal for Fresh or Older Pomegranates
The Dry Method, Ideal for Very Fresh Pomegranates
Both approaches require no special tools and both ways easily release the seeds from the pomegranate husk. As the above titles infer one method uses water whilst the other does not. However at the end of each short process you have a supply of wonderful pomegranate seeds with no pith and with no mess. Better still for those that recycle, these methods allow complete composting of the pomegranate remnants.
