About this ebook

A lot of drunks say “Quitting is easy, I’ve done it a hundred times.” Not very funny perhaps, but very true. The problem is not just quit drinking; it’s quitting for good that’s problematic. And that's what this book is for. It’s a simple guide consisting of five steps that are guaranteed to start working for you today. Just read it all the way through and you’ll have the best knowledge on recovering from alcohol addiction, staying sober, and getting your life back.

To help you identify and understand this book, you'll have a built-in guide who has been there, drank that, and even wears the T-Shirt. Vienna is a real person who volunteered to share her experiences as a drunk, how and why she got sober, and how she’s staying sober for over 13 years (and counting).

Of course, as long as alcohol exists, there will be alcohol addicts. If that’s you, then reading this book is your chance to stop the process right now before it grabs your soul. And if that’s not you then this is likewise a chance for you to call a halt to whatever dark place alcohol is leading you.

    Introduction

See that annoying guy at the bar? He’s had more than a few too many; he’s had the whole bottle. See how goofy he looks? Judging by all the shot glasses in front of him, his blood alcohol level must be about 3.0 by now – more than three times the legal limit for driving any kind of vehicle.

Notice that he’s alone; even his drinking buddies and the bartender gave him up. This is where blackouts begin; he will lose hours of time and not remember what he said or did during that time when he seemed conscious.

Okay, he’ll be conscious. Sort of. But he won’t be aware. He’ll come to somewhere he doesn’t recognize, with a person he doesn’t know in a dangerous sexual situation, or his first sign of awareness is that he’s in a hospital or a jail cell with four other mean-looking drunks.

Before he decided to make an idiot of himself, he didn’t bother to get the facts; never bothered to find out that severe alcohol intoxication can be fatal. Between 3.0 and 4.0, the brain begins to shut down. Motor activity is the first thing to go; drunks at this level are generally passed out.

Alcohol is a poison to the body, and the vomit reflex tries to get rid of it. If a passed-out drunk lying faced-up vomits, he’ll aspirate it (breathe it back in) and die, choked to death on his own vomit. What a way to go.

If this fool sounds like you, then you’re the person for whom this book was written. If this is you and you’re really tired of being like that, then this book is dedicated to you. Perhaps you have friends or family members that need to see this book, so do them a favor and pass it on. Read it
