Mindful DRINKING

If you’ve been drinking more than you want to for any length of time, and if you’ve tried and failed to change your drinking habits before, you have probably asked yourself ‘why?’: ‘Why do I drink too much?’, ‘Why can’t I stop when I want to?’ and ‘Why am I struggling to change?’

‘Why?’ sounds like a helpful question. When you use it well, it can help you discover things about yourself that you haven’t noticed before. But depending on your frame of mind, dwelling on ‘why?’ can easily turn into asking ‘why me?’. As you sink into self-pity, you can imagine that there is something fundamentally wrong
