Sean Dunston finished setting up his strobes and looked over the main light with a mix of pride and nervousness. He had a photo shoot today and unlike the usual ones, which took place in his tiny rental studio, this one was going on in the basement of the industrial loft building it was in. He had checked the light stand to make sure everything was tight and secure many times. Strobes were expensive, but his care with this light went way beyond mere worry about replacement costs.

While Sean loved photography, he wasn't technically a professional photographer. Mostly what he did was glamour photography to get photographs to base digital paintings on, but he was a true artist and if he took photos, they were good ones. In the thriving Internet photography scene amateur photographers like Sean - who often had nearly pro-level equipment and talent - would pay amateur models a little money or in photos for their model portfolios which they could then use to get even better jobs. Everybody got a little something.

Except that about two months ago, Sean had gotten way more than a little something. Somehow a booking had gone from what was supposed to be a glamour/pinup shoot to a steamy nude session... which had ended with the model’s fucking Sean’s brains out. This had not been on the shoot schedule.

It turned out that somehow one of his studio lights had turned into a kind of... mind control machine. After being accidentally dropped it had picked up an electrical fault that made anyone who looked at it too long go into a trance.
