The subway was relatively empty this morning. Disappointing. Karen sat in the seat nearest the door, book in hand. She wasn't reading, though. She was focused on her peripheral vision, waiting for her next audience member to arrive. The train stopped, but she had stopped paying attention to the stations. She had no destination in mind just yet. The doors closed and the train picked up again, barreling forward on the line. She was almost losing hope that no one would sit in the seat across from her until a man in a suit finally took the place. She looked him over without even lifting her eyes from her paperback novel. He was a balding man with wire-framed glasses. He had a round face and a suit that was too big for him. She wondered briefly if he was possibly the religious type who would make a ruckus at the sight of a woman flashing him. The thought sent a jolt of excitement through her. Although she had never been caught or lectured by anyone, that fear still set her pleasurably on edge. She decided she would do it. Taking a deep breath, Karen uncrossed her legs, opening them just a few inches to begin with, setting the bait. The skirt she was wearing was short and tight, allowing the tiniest glimpse of her lace panties underneath. Her vision was trained on him, though he would never realize it.
