Dedication
To Sharon,
My beautiful bride of thirty forty-nine years, my constant companion, my joy, and the love of my life. Thank you for being there. You have watched and encouraged me day after day as I have given away our hard earned substance to kids in schools for over thirty years, and while many think it should have been reserved for our retirement, you never complained but rather looked with me for the harvest of souls from our seeds planted.
You don’t seem to notice the wrinkles that are an obvious indication of old age creeping up on me, and I see the sparkle in your eyes every time you look at me! Sharon, my heart swells with pride as I thank God for all the years I have been allowed to call you my wife.
If the Lord called me home tomorrow, I would still consider myself the most blessed man on earth. You have made my life worthwhile!
Thank you for loving me!
Sincerely,
Marty
P.S. NOW, Could you pour me a Pepsi please?
Acknowledgments
To all those who have had the patience to sit through a series of services with me as I challenged them to throw abandon to the wind and dive into the crystal clear waters of inspiration as we explore the bottomless depths of manifested revelation in regard to giving! Not only to listen, but to respond in the giving of their substance.
The quintessence of the message of this book is of paragon importance and has been the product of many years of experimentation as we have investigated every feasible method of contributions to bless and aid the work of the kingdom of God.
We gratefully acknowledge the Churches, Pastors and congregations who have joined us in our quest to dedicate ourselves to the task at hand; To win the lost at any cost!
Forward
In reading this book you will find a far greater understanding on the principles of giving. It has always been a struggle for people to accept the principle of tithing, for there are so many theories afloat on a wide variety of methods in relationship to giving, that for many, it provides a sense of confusion as to what or where to give to. Unfortunately, that causes us to miss what God has in store for us.
In this book, Dr. Marty Tharp offers us some very revealing truths about giving, along with basic practical truth. This book does not just tell a story, for it is totally based on the Word. It gives us Biblical proof on the origin of tithing and the results of faithfulness to Scriptural concepts.
This is book is full of simple yet profound truths, and one you will want to read again! Keep it close at hand for daily references.
Dr. Tharp has traveled in the United States in full time Evangelism for over thirty years and ministered to thousands of young people in the British Isles, and this book (along with many others he has written) was written from a wealth of time tested experiences, some on the mountain top and some through the valley of the shadow of death. Pray as you read and adopt these tested principles, for it is a gift from the very heart of Dr. Marty Tharp.
This book is obviously the product of time spent in study and prayer, and I feel it will provide a tool in which to encourage others to build a relationship with God, and open new doors to a vast supply of abundance

About The Author
Introduction
The term; Money makes the world go round,
is a valid one which is why we need to know; How To Survive In Time Of Economic Crisis
They say; Money is the root of all evil.
But if that is indeed true, then we are in a quandary! For it would be literally impossible to survive without it. The fact is, that statement, though seemingly profound, is not factual. The Bible says;
"For the love
of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many arrows" (1 Timothy 6:10).
There is a battle that is raging in this modern world, and it is a battle for the souls of men! And the arsenal that the enemy of our souls is using, to steal from us the blessing of profound favor with the Heavenly Father, is the spirit of covetousness.
Covetousness is the thief that we often make excuses for by actually quoting Scriptures like this from the Word of God.
"But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel" (1 Timothy 5:8).
Chapter five of this book will prove to you that failure to tithe robs your children and your family of the unfathomable riches of God which is bestowed on you because of obedience.
Never consider taking what belongs to God, then attempt to make excuses for it!
"But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses" (1 Timothy 6:11-12).
Tithing is not a guarantee of Christianity, but being a Christian should guarantee a tither!
Chapter One
Learning How To Read The Plans
(Blueprints)
It would not be inconceivable to think that there have been more sermons preached on giving than all other subjects in the Bible combined. It has been estimated by a myriad of theologians from a wide variety of religious persuasions that one of every six Scriptures in the Bible either deals with your money or your possessions. Without the Biblical concept of giving there would not be a single church or ministry capable of functioning. There would most certainly be no radio or television programs, for their existence is totally dependant on the generosity and often, the gullibility of their listening audience.
Since the old adage; Money makes the world go round,
has proven to be an extremely accurate and insightful statement, it would appear to be to our distinct advantage to possess a working knowledge of why the subject of money, or possessions, commands such an overwhelming percentage of the pages in the infallible word of God.
The book of Genesis is appropriately called the Book of Beginnings.
At the close of the sixth and final day of creation, God gave the responsibility to Adam to name every creature, and the authority over them was invested in him. In this first chapter we are afforded a historical record of the creative power of the spoken word of God as all creation is spoken into existence;
"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day" (Genesis 1:28-31).
The first three chapters of the book of Genesis gives us a concise overview of that which has been the most hotly debated, and most controversial subject of historians, scientists, evolutionists and theologians for centuries. But more than that, it offers us an insight into the basic principles upon which we as Christians base our most cherished concepts of doctrine. Please allow me to offer you an abbreviated overview of that which forms intrinsically the basic doctrinal ethos of the Christian community.
1. The beginning of the earth as we know it;
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). (Evolution Vs. Creation)
2. Man’s authority over all living creatures;
"And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hands are they delivered. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things" (Genesis 9:2-3). (Pantheism Vs. Theism)
3. The concept of covenants;
"Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant" (Hebrews 13:20). (Fatalism Vs. Religion)
Number One: The serpent;
(The Devil),
(Genesis 3:14-15).
1. Destined to crawl on his belly for all God’s creation to use as a constant reminder of God’s faithfulness.
"The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord" (Isaiah 65:25).
2. The promise of an everlasting defeat by the seed of the woman.
"And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen" (Romans 16:20).
"And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15).
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;" (Hebrews 2:14).
Number Two: The Woman
(Genesis 3:16).
1. Multiple births promised;
"I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception."
2. The promise of multiplied sorrows (pains) in child birth.
"Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail" (Psalms 48:6).
"The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children" (Hosea 13:13).
Any woman who has ever given birth can certainly attest to
