INTRODUCTION
The fact is: success is elusive. Why? Why are the rich so rich? Only about five percent of the population in the United States realizes true financial success.
What traits do they possess that make them so successful? Few ever find out. Unfortunately, how to be financially successful in life is not a subject that is taught in our schools. We are all in the same boat, attempting through trial and error to figure it out on our own.
I've spent years studying the everyday routines of the wealthy. The Rich Habits Program,
which is intended to offer practical, simple-to-follow counsel on obtaining limitless personal and financial success, incorporates everything I have learnt from my studies. Wealth is not merely a result of chance, training, toil, or inheritance. Success in business is a surefire method. The guide to financial success in the twenty-first century is contained within these pages!
I work with more than a thousand people and small businesses as a certified public accountant and financial planner. The idea for this book first occurred to me when a client in need visited my office. Even though his firm was expanding, the customer still struggled to pay his employees on time. He questioned, What am I doing wrong?

For some while, we sat at our table in silence. I tried to break the awkward pause by asking my client what he did after returning home at night. The attitude of my client changed right away. He gave me an almost mischievous smile before asking, Which night?
Pick your favorite night,
I advised.
My client said Wednesday would be the day.
What are your Wednesday night plans? I pushed the customer.
The customer leaned in and discreetly muttered, I get a couple of ladies of the night, a few bottles of wine, and...
as she looked at the restaurant. The client halted mid-sentence in response to my blatant expression of disbelief. He apologized, he said. "I
should not have shared that with you. I talk way too much sometimes."
I reassured him that I was an Irish Catholic New Yorker from an eight-person household and that I had seen almost all there was to see. Not out of moral outrage, but rather after realizing that I had been posing the wrong queries to my customer for the previous few months, I was shocked. I got a revelation that there was a lot more to financial issues than first appears, and I needed to ask the correct questions. I finally came up with a twenty-question list that I posed to
