DEDICATION
This book is dedicated to the people in the United Kingdom who have received us, not just as a part of the family of God, but as a part of their own families. I owe a special debt of gratitude to Lexie and Maureen Johnston who were responsible for our first visit to Ulster eighteen years ago.
To the people of Northern Ireland, and especially the Churches of God of Ulster, who have encouraged us as a family to excel in our school ministry in the province, we want to say thank you for the years of friendship and encouragement.
A very special thanks to Jim Connally Sr. whose knowledge of this subject far surpasses my own, yet he has offered his unequivocal support for my efforts to write this book.
Thank you!
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
To the Headmasters of the Schools in Ulster who have inspired us in our work at times when unbeknownst to them, we were struggling to hold our heads above the waters of adversity. I would love to be able to say that everyone in the province is in agreement with our crossing cultural and religious boundaries, but as of yet that is not quite true! Our work is a non-sectarian labor of love for the younger generation who have no axes to grind, and for the most part are not fully aware of the decisions they will feel forced to make because of their environment as they grow into adulthood.
The Headmasters obviously share our enthusiasm for the message of honor in conduct, respect for parental authority, self discipline, and a diligence toward education that will help them to excel as they enter the work force of society, in any of their individually chosen fields.
Without the cooperation of the Headmasters, we simply would have no platform from which to expound our message!
Although it was a Headmaster who has become a friend who is responsible for my delving into some of the material contained herein, I am well aware that this book in no way reflects the doctrinal views of other Head teachers in the Province.

FORWARD
I’m sure you’ve heard this comment when a book was being recommended to read. You’ll finish it in no time, its an easy read.
Meaning it’s either a very short book in length or in depth.
That is not a comment that will be made about this book or any of the books written by Dr. Marty Tharp. A thought provoking, spiritually and intellectually stimulating read
but not easy
as in light.
You will read each line thoroughly and in some instances repeatedly! You will read and meditate, read and muse, read and then research and then read some more. Dr. Tharp reminds me of authors of a by-gone era, when books were written for consumers who could both read and think. Their books were not written on a 5th grade level or in a patronizing contemporary prose.
They were written for the serious reader and thinker. Thank you Dr. Tharp for reaching back to thrust us forward.
Therefore friend, read and be challenged!

INTRODUCTION
This book is a result of a study on the house of David, who is the only individual in Biblical history who was given by God an individual covenant of salt, guaranteeing him a perpetuation of an earthly lineage which included the seed, and the throne.
Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite, one of the chief musicians, captured in the eighty-ninth Psalm, God’s agreement with David. Let me point out what I feel is the heart of this magnificent treatise.
"My mercy will I keep for him forevermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. His seed also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven" (Vs. 28-29).
In the event you were wondering if God would ever break the Davidic covenant because of an infraction or transgression on the part of one of his descendants, look with me at one more passage;
"For thus saith the Lord, David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually. And the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me" (Jeremiah 33:17-22).
Does the historical legacy of the British Isles have any bearing on the everlasting covenant of the house of David? It is a question which stimulated my sagacious nature, and challenged my intellectual astuteness.
The primary objective of this book is to challenge the inquisitiveness of your nature.
Chapter 1
Jeremiah’s Tomb
Twelve years ago, one of the most startling revelations that I have ever had was concerning the continuation of the monarchy of the house of David in the present day. We were in Northern Ireland on a day when we were doing two assemblies back to back in a high school. The Headmaster invited us to come to his office for some refreshments while they returned the teens we had just sung to back to class, giving them time to fill the hall with the remainder of the school for our next assembly. In our conversation, he asked if I was interested in historical lineages since I was a Christian. Not having a clue as to where he was going with that question, I said yes. He invited me to come by in two days time and he would give me a historical lineage chart of the present day Monarchy of the British Empire. He then asked if I had been to Jeremiah’s tomb, I said;
"No, I’ve never been to Egypt!"
He looked at me as if I were joking and said,
"Jeremiah’s tomb is not in Egypt!"
I said,
"I haven’t been to Israel either!"
Again he gave me an incredulous look and said;
"Jeremiah’s tomb is not in Israel either! Don’t you Americans know anything about history?"
I took that one with grace and said;
"I’m afraid our schools are not interested in Biblical history! Are you a Christian?"
"No," he said emphatically,
"I am a historian. My entire life has been devoted to the study and teaching of history, and since the Bible is the most profoundly accurate book on ancient history I’ve ever read, I thought since you are a Christian, you might be interested in the fulfillment of one of the most amazing promises of an enduring dynasty for the House of David."
I must admit, he had my undivided attention!
"Well, where is Jeremiah’s tomb?"
I asked,
"It’s on Devinish Island just below Eniskillen, in Northen Ireland."
I laughed and said,
"What is Jeremiah’s tomb doing in Northern Ireland?" Again he looked at me as if I had to be joking and said;
"You Americans really don’t know anything about history do you!"
Since I don’t respond well to the suggestion of how ignorant we are as a nation, I nearly ended the conversation right there!
"Since it is obvious that I don’t have a clue about what you are getting at, why don’t you enlighten me."
Realizing that my patriotism was showing, he finished the conversation with this;
"I’m sure you have heard of the Stone of Scone, known as the Stone of Destiny haven’t you?
"Isn’t that the odd looking rock they use to weigh the coronation chair down so thieves can’t steal it? That Coronation chair must be extremely valuable for them to employ two armed guards to watch it day and night!"
The sly smirk that crossed his face told me I was about to get insulted again!"
"Mr. Tharp, the guards are not there to protect the chair, they are there to protect the Stone of Destiny! That stone is not there to hold the chair down in order to protect it from thieves, Jeremiah brought that stone five hundred and fifty years before Christ, along with princess Tamar Tia Tephi from the tribe of Pharez, and united in marriage the reigning monarch of Ireland, who descended from the tribe of Zarah, effectively reuniting the tribe of Judah. That monarchy was crowned on the Stone of Destiny, on which every Monarch in the history of the British Isles has been coronated since, right up to our present day Queen Elisabeth!
(Anyone who has ever been to Ulster, (Northern Ireland) has certainly seen an emblem that is strictly Protestant called The Red Hand of Ulster
which is taken from the book of Genesis.)
"And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb. And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, ssaying, this came out first. And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez. And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah" (Genesis 38: 27-30).
Several years earlier, my wife and I had been to Britain for a three week vacation, and we had taken a tour of Westminster Abbey where the coronation chair sits. We had marveled at the huge stone that seemed to be holding the rather dilapidated coronation chair in place, supposing that the stone was for security purposes, preventing anyone from stealing such a historical relic of furniture. There were guards standing on either side of the chair, so we wondered why they needed such tight security measures for a chair!
You can well imagine my amazement, when after the conversation with the headmaster that day, I made several inquiries about the statements he had made, and in the process, I discovered the accuracy of the statement the headmaster had made;
"They were not guarding the coronation chair, they were guarding the Stone that we thought held it in place!"
Since the discovery of that simple truth, I found that a vast portion of the population in the British Isles is as ignorant about their history as I was!
It has been an incredible experience to find that Jeremiah’s tomb is indeed on an Island in the southern portion of Northern Ireland, and in studying the lineage chart that the headmaster provided me with, does indeed indicate that the present day monarchy is the direct descendants of the house of David!
Early in my Christian experience, I heard a doctrine propagated by a fringe group that most Christians regarded as a cult. Which they probably were and are! It was labeled British Israelism.
Their concept was, that unless you accepted their theory as fact, and joined the crusade to enlist every Christian into their particular bias, you really could not be construed as a part of the family of God! Because of their radical stand on a variety of subjects, most Americans labeled the teaching of British Israelism
nonsense, mine was one of the loudest voices of dissent.
The British Israelism
package as a whole, came very close to bypassing the cross of Jesus Christ as a means of salvation, and in fact indicated that the British Israelism message took precedence over salvation by the blood, in favor of proclaiming ourselves in perfect agreement with a covenanted heritage!
One of the problems that accompanied the doctrine of British Israelism, was the concept predicated on the use of the word Anglo. On it’s own, the word Anglo is defined as;
(1) U.S. - A white inhabitant of the U.S. who is not of Latin extraction.
(2) Canada - An English speaking Canadian of Anglo-Celtic origin.(Collins Pocket Dictionary).
By definition alone, British Israelism, appeared to take on a racist connotation, which the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ certainly does not! Of course when I first heard the concept put forward about Jeremiah’s tomb being in Northern Ireland, and the reuniting of the tribe of Judah, crowned on; The Stone of Destiny,
my first reaction was; either someone is putting me on, and having a good laugh at my expense, or as the Headmaster suggested, Americans know absolutely nothing about the history of the British Empire, and in my experiences thus far, they really aren’t very interested in learning.
It seems far easier to throw a stone at a dog we’re afraid of, than to take the time to become friends. Fear has caused us to throw a lot of stones!
In the past ten years, I have made myself obnoxious
