ORDINARY LIVES

I’ve so enjoyed the summer of family history programmes on TV, Who Doand the various DNA journeys. Informative, entertaining, and often poignant, stories of other peoples’ origins never fail to bring an empathetic lump to the throat. With the proviso that few of us can manage to fly around the globe to ancestral homelands, accessing rare archives and meeting professional genealogists with our ancestry ready documented and translated, the actual discoveries are vastly entertaining.
