    LUKE SEEMS to have had a thing for angels. Verse by verse, chapter by chapter, you get more angels in the Book of Luke than in any of the other Gospels.

    Think about it. What would a Christmas pageant be like without Luke? Okay, you’d have a few wise men—thanks to Matthew’s Gospel—and those extravagant gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh that inspire our gift giving today, but there’d be no baby in a manger and no Archangel
