Introduction
I have now released five short topics in my Relational Self Help Series. In each one of these, I have promised that there would be collections of three or more of these titles coming soon. This book is my fulfillment of that promise. It took a little longer than I had originally planned, so I decided that I would include five titles in the first collection instead of three.
I feel that all of these titles address crucial issues in human relations. I have used the content of all of these titles over the years in my counseling. Everything in all of these titles, therefore, has been test proven repeatedly.
Many women suffer from abuse. If more women knew what to look for in the men they pick for their mates, they wouldn't find themselves in an abusive situation later on. Beware of Abusive Behavior is good for anyone who may suspect they are in or about to enter into an abusive relationship.
Grief is all around us. It affects us many times throughout our lives. Learning how to conquer grief gives us a great advantage when we do grieve. Conquering Grief is written so that you can help someone else through their grieving process or help yourself through yours.
The most difficult part of relating to other human beings is our reactions. We all need to work on our reactions to what others do and say to us. Controlling Your Reactions does just that. Lean how Christ wants you to react.
Too many people are suicidal. Too many people have no idea how to help someone who is suicidal. Crisis Intervention/Suicide Prevention goes into every aspect of suicide. It gives rules to go by when dealing with a suicidal person. It gives signs to watch for. Most of all, it gives hope through Christ.
Communication is the most frustrating thing that any two or more human beings can attempt. Planning Communication shows how to do all three things you need to do in order to have successful communication. You must listen, then speak, and finally maintain self-control.
My sincere wish is that you will be able to help yourself or many others with the Christ-centered approaches that are contained in this book.
