How to Find Your Soul Job - Gregory Berge
you.
1. Why this book? My promise.
Recently, a friend emails me: Gregory I need help to find my passion. That’s your thing, right?
A week later, this friend calls me: I quit my job and I am going to do a Master!
Recently, I am having a coffee with a friend. He starts the conversation by saying: My life is crap and you wouldn’t understand it!
20 minutes later, this friend is thumping on the table saying: I got to do this PhD. I got to move to France. This is where my Life is. I gotta do it!
This is what this book is for. To help you. To touch you. To inspire you. To guide you. To reassure you. If I am not within Skype
distance from you, this e-book will do what I physically can’t.
I am so excited to write about this topic. Finding your Soul Job is one of the best things that can happen to your Life. It’s to be in Love with your work. You like to be in Love, right?
During my years of real-life experiment, many career changes and non-stop Life-changing discoveries, the woman who made me, my mother used to always tell me: A job, by definition, becomes routine. You can do anything. Sooner or later, it will become boring
.
I have always refused to believe that, and here is where I am today. Conference interpreter; in love with my work and writing to the world on how to find the work you will be in Love with: your Soul Job.
A soul job is a job you are designed to do. A job you are born to do.
But beware! A soul job is not a dream job! We all dream to be singers, writers and athletes. But we°’re not all designed to be such. Sorry.
A soul job is a job where you are guaranteed to be happy. It’s a job that gives you energy instead of stealing it from you. It’s a job that requires your inner-genius, your natural skills. It’s a job where you outclass 50% of the competition, just by being yourself. It’s a job where, if you work hard, you can be the best in the world.
I am so lucky, excited and fortunate to be in this position today. I started my professional career in 2007. I was an osteopath. After 3 months of daily practice, I fell sick. My headaches were so bad I thought I had meningitis. But it wasn’t. Instead, it was depression slowly introducing itself into my existence, wishing to become my best friend.
I tried a lot of things to get better, and I spent a lot of money!
At that time, if someone had told me: Greg! I know a book who will change your Life!
I wouldn’t have believed it.
How can an e-book change my Life? It’s cheap! ;-)
If anything can change it, it must be a secret buried deep inside of me, or in the pages of a book with golden bindings, protected by a dragon, inside a cave, right?
I was in such despair I would have wished to kill a tumor, not to read a book! This is why back then, I was kind of disappointed when a neurologist looked at my brain scan and told me: Great Gregory! There is no tumor!
But a lot of things have happened ever since that brain scan and I intend to leave it all in this book.
I can write but I am not a writer. Writing is not my Soul Job. Typing on a computer hurts my eyes. It’s real communication that I love. So, I am not planning to keep any tips or secrets away from you, for a future book. No. But I love Life-changing activities. Life-changing
is a word that turns me on and which I use frequently in my daily Life. When a friend asks me if I want to go see a movie, I usually reply: Is it Life-changing?
Over the last few years, I was the witness of my own transformation. From the number of people who NOW compliment my smile, I can promise you that this metamorphosis is as beautiful as that of a butterfly.
I often say that a couple years ago, I was a ghost, the shadow of myself.
I use those words. But today, I often say that I rose like a phoenix. The words might sound pretentious, I agree. But this is how I NOW feel inside. I can’t shake it.
To smile on the inside and on the outside. 24/7/365. Don’t you dream of that? This is what this book is for. Expect great things out of it. If you believe this book can change your Life, it will. I wrote this book with the mindset that it will change your Life. So it will.
This is my intention. I will write this e-book, as the saying goes, with my blood, sweat and tears. Actually, I’ve already bled, sweated and
