About this audiobook

Book 1: SEALs of Honor

KILL OR BE KILLED

Part of an elite SEAL team, Mason takes on the dangerous jobs no one else wants to do – or can do. When he's on a mission, he's focused and dedicated. When he's not, he plays as hard as he fights.

Until he meets a woman he can't have but can't forget.

Software developer, Tesla lost her brother in combat and has no intention of getting close to someone else in the military. Determined to save other US soldiers from a similar fate, she's created a program that could save lives. But other countries know about the program, and they won't stop until they get it – and get her.

Time is running out... For her... For him... For them…

Author

Dale Mayer

Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you'll want to cuddle close. She's long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her - and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres! And that's okay too. There is one guarantee with each book - it will be a great read - each and every time.

I don't normally even read the blurb for books featuring naked torsos on the cover, but "SEALs" caught my attention, and it was free. It's not a bad quick read. The characters are quite engaging, but the plot is very "Perils of Pauline". The heroine is rescued from one absurd kidnap attempt after another, getting, drugged, beaten up, injured, but still functioning enough to complete complex programming and deliver a presentation to a large audience. And she is always rescued in the nick of time by her team of "gorgeous" SEALs.I gather the author is very prolific, and the book appears to have flowed straight from her keyboard to publication without having passed through the hands of an editor or proof reader as it is full of typos.Okay for an undemanding holiday read, but I doubt I will pick up any others by this author.

Software developer Tesla lost her brother Harry in combat. Although she has no intention of ending up as combat soldier herself, she's created a program that could save lived. Both U.S. Army, as well as its adversaries, have an interest in the results. SEALs of Honor: Mason kicks off with Tesla being kidnapped somewhere in Mexico. Author Dale Mayer brings in several attempts by a close team of SEALs to rescue her. Narrow escapes by helicopter, parachute, vans and other means. Will Tesla be able to present her computer program as planned? And will she definitely fall in love with the most sexiest of the SEALs, Mason? And what about her intentions not to take lives herself? A fine holiday read, without much pretensions or character developments. Entertaining. The book's part of a series, but can be read on its own.
