About this audiobook
Patrick’s aunt Thelma was an artist whose work turned towards the occult. As an adult he discovers a journal of her explorations, and his son Roy becomes fascinated. His experiences at the sites scare Patrick away, but not Roy. Can he convince his son that his suspicions are real, or will what they’ve helped to rouse take a new hold on the world?

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Very mild horror story, glancing over key opportunities instead of using description to build excitement. Every opportunity was not capitalized leaving me flat, wishing for more. Long build to a very short climax...since I've been writing maybe 3 stars is too much. There is more excitement watching bread rise.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This story has the warm, welcoming tones of Lovecraft feeding on a sense of something otherworldly and disturbing. Worlds within worlds, and secret universes glimpsed but seldom seen. Disquieting in style rather than scary. I felt a few sentences were awkward and would have liked more dialogue tags but enjoyed the read.
