The angsty history gets spared for the most part, Annie had been an outsider in their small town, but she battled through her anxiety and stuttering to become a successful ER doctor. Zack & Annie both grieving from lost of Zack wife & Annies best friend have a drunken encounter that haunts them both. When they both wind up back in their hometown, they come face to face, past & present comes together.
Unfortunately their rural area has a predator on the loose, Annie treats victims and Zack is assisting law enforcement.
