About this audiobook

Gavin and Phoebe Jacobs found bliss living on the run, enjoying their simple life with their son, Carter. Gavin works odd end jobs while Phoebe stays in their RV home and cares for their son. They have found ways to cope with Gavin’s disorder, his alternate personality, Darrel, rarely making an appearance anymore—or so they thought. Little did they know, Darrel was living his own life at night. Drinking, drugs, fighting, and sex.

When Gavin wakes up in bed with a complete stranger, he realizes what Darrel has been doing. In a complete panic, he tries to call Phoebe to tell her, but his anxiety grows too much and triggers Darrel to come out. Realizing he’s been caught, Darrel hatches a scheme to get far, far away from Phoebe, knowing that if he stuck around they would end all of his fun. So in the dead of night, he sneaks into their RV and packs a bag to take with him. As he goes to leave, he passes baby Carter and something in him just won’t let him leave the child behind. Acting on a whim, Darrel grabs the baby and runs for it, catching the first bus out of town. When Gavin comes to, he wakes up not knowing at all where he is. When he puts the pieces together, he realizes Darrel has kidnapped Carter and he needs to get their son back home before Darrel comes back out—but it won’t be that easy.
