About this audiobook
12 cold cases. 12 kidnapped women. One diabolical serial killer. In this riveting suspense thriller, a brilliant FBI agent faces a deadly challenge: decipher the mystery before each one is murdered.
In the Maya Gray series (which begins with Book #1—GIRL ONE: MURDER) FBI Special Agent Maya Gray, 39, has seen it all. She’s one of BAU’s rising stars and the go-to agent for hard-to-crack serial cases. When she receives a handwritten postcard promising to release 12 kidnapped women if she will solve 12 cold cases, she assumes it’s a hoax.
Until the note mentions that, among the captives, is her missing sister.
Maya, shaken, is forced to take it seriously. The cases she’s up against are some of the most difficult the FBI has ever seen. But the terms of his game are simple: if Maya solves a case, he will release one of the girls.
And if she fails, he will end a life.
In GIRL FOUR: LURED, bodies are found with a lone jigsaw puzzle piece left atop them, the victims of a serial killer.
What could the meaning be? What puzzle is he trying to complete?
But time is running out, and Maya’s sister is in danger. Can she put the pieces together in time to save the next victim?
A complex psychological crime thriller full of twists and turns and packed with heart-pounding suspense, the MAYA GRAY mystery series will make you fall in love with a brilliant new female protagonist and keep you turning pages late into the night. It is a perfect addition for fans of Robert Dugoni, Rachel Caine, Melinda Leigh or Mary Burton.
Books #5 and #6—GIRL FIVE: BOUND and GIRL SIX: FORSAKEN—are also available.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I have listened to , all four up to this point, of these books and I’m finding it really, really hard to believe that somebody is, how shall I say master mindful enough to get all of this over on not only the FBI but everybody else? Like how is he able to be in three and four places at one time he’s able to take care of the “bunnies“ in DC while he’s watching her in Oregon? It’s just a little too much I mean maybe if you would’ve written in somebody taking care of the people or “bunnies“ it just isn’t believable and I’m not going to listen to any more of these as a matter of fact I’m going to stop listening to this one only five minutes and because I just can’t deal with this anymore, it is just well as I’ve said unbelievable. Maybe next time try doing something that has the mystery solved and one or maybe two books, but to draw this off through four books now and I’m assuming as there were 12 “ bunnies”, there will be 12 books and I just can’t, I can’t believe that there would be that many people out there willing to listen to 12, or even read, these books to get through what you’re trying to get through. Maybe if the plot was a little bit more captivating? But it always is the same thing, at the end she ends up being attacked by somebody, losing her gun, almost “dying“ it’s just a little redundant

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The woman reading the story is terrible. Everyone sounds exactly like all the men sound like women. The story isn’t great and that makes it even worse. I am surprised that I finished it. It’s really bad.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A very good plot and story that places board games at a whole different level. Someone is obsessed with a certain puzzle and is killing people. Maya is discovering leads, but she reaches nowhere, and more girls are being murdered. Even with Marco's help, it seems like her time to discover the culprit of these crimes is coming to an end and her sister's life, as well as the other girls, will be even in more danger. What is the secret that lies with the puzzles? Why the killer leaves pieces of a particular puzzle with every corpse? Will Maya be able to solve the crime puzzle and free one more girl? Will it be her sister?

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This series is like a Hallmark movie meets CSI. Not my cup of tea.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I like the recurring characters. Complex plot that continues on.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I found it on my local library site. Book six played out of order on this site so I went back to my library site for it.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The FBI agent is dump, does dumb things and has a dumb group working as her boss and co-agents. Why does the author thinks this approach is good for a story.
