I come back to this series when I am desperate for an audio book. It just is so not compelling, she does such stupid things over and over and her boss acts so ridiculous. If the killer only wants to work with her and they know he has kidnapped victims constantly threatening to take her off the cases is lame and not suspenseful. Putting her with Marco like they talked about previously instead of letting her bumble alone and having some relationship tension could make the books better.

The book cuts off in places, then totally cuts off the end…. I have no clue how the story ended.

Good follow up. Maya irritated me occasionally in this one with her density in relationships but … I’ll keep listening.
