This was a very interesting story. First, I enjoyed the writing and the narration. But, it was waaaaay to long. The first 12 hours of the audiobook seemed to be the same stuff over and over. If this book was edited down to about 12 hours. It would be great. I found myself becoming bored at hour ten because nothing was happening. In any event, I can't stress enough how good the narrators were, and the overall premise was good. However, this novel neeeeeds a good editing for content.

Another Amazing Series!.. Gods, Their children, Fae, Night Children/Vampires, unique magic, a lost world.. Forced Proximity & an a-hole power hungry dad.. what more could you ask for??

Just editing to add this is different than the Lady of Darkness series, LOD doesn't have to be read to understand this series.

I was a bit hesitant due to the length of the book- but I really enjoyed it for the most part. The story was always interesting.

the growing intensity of my rage+ the urge to slap Theon’s teeth out??? was overwhelming. Why the f:!)4)&@: can’t they just TELL HER after all the crap they put her through.
I wish she ends up with whatshisface…Tristan!!! I feel like it maybeeeee could have a little potential ?

Will definitely be reading/listening to book 2!!?

3.5 but rounded up bc i like the author.
I love her writing/world building but I had to knock off 1.5 stars bc the mmc is such an asshole he is not even “morally gray” at this point he is an unacceptable love interest IMO and am hoping she kills him in the next book but I have a bad feeling that this will end in his personality making a complete 180 and him somehow “redeeming” himself but tbh after how horrible he was to her in this one I just want him to die and for her to find someone new. disappointing bc I really like and relate to the fmc & love this authors writing style/world building. Ugh Theon is horrible tho, Tessa is deadass a slave to him and has stockholm syndrome & some forced bond it is not romantic AT ALLLLL it’s creeepy

This book was awesome, but there was so couple time I got so pissed of how they where treating Tess . I m ready the second and it gets even better .both are so good…I can’t wait for the 3rd book I hope it well be in Audio thou
