At first, I thought it was a little more than a sex fantasy, but they got better as it went along, and the characters developed personalities. By the end, it was appealing and very enjoyable.

This author is talented but I hated these two characters.  Marshall Wise is extremely needy, clingy, and  goes to extreme lengths to look after Valentine.  He is always there to take care of him, hates anyone hurting him, feeds him, looks after the cat but Valentine does not reciprocate.  The most he does for him is to get anxiety if he thinks he is about to leave and tells him repeatedly he cannot be seen in public with him and talks about his bulge.  Valentine is not worth Marshall obsession.  I wish he would find someone who can more equally reciprocate his feelings.  I begrudgingly finished this audiobook.  Do not recommend.

This book is enemies to lovers perfection. Marshall and Valentine are both so much more than they initially seemed. Watching them learn that their preconceived notions about the other needed to be reexamined was beautiful to see.
