- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The author did an amazing job of retelling the beginning of the siege of Troy, immersing the reader into the story. The characters were well-portrayed. While we were given a little taste of each character in the first book (King of Ithaca), the characters’ personalities were more developed and complex.
The only negative criticism I have is the narration. The narrator does a poor job of the characters’ accents, ranging from more of a Scottish accent to almost Irish sounding. It, ultimately, disrupted the flow of the story, at least in the beginning. But besides that, all in all, it’s definitely worth reading/listening to! I can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series.
