I loved the message that you need to be your best self in order to have a good relationship. I know a lot of people who act like their marriages are all about 'their' needs, and never that of their spouses. I never did get that. I've always wanted to be the person my person deserves to have love him. I'm lucky that it works the other way around, too -- Maybe because of my efforts to be the best person for him, he reciprocates.
A lot of food for thought in this woman's journey. I've noticed some of the reviews seem resentful about the focus on weight. I don't see that as a problem. It is an issue, whether it is health related, self-consciousness related, or attractiveness related--no matter how much you want to demand it is not an issue of attractiveness, IT IS!
Worth the read. (and doesn't read like your typical self-help book)
