About this audiobook
In a lonely village in the Peak District, during the onset of a once-in-a-lifetime snow storm, Constable Ellie Cheetham finds a body. The man, a local ne'er-do-well, appears to have died in a tragic accident: he drank too much and froze to death. But the facts don't add up: the dead man is clutching a knife in one hand, and there's evidence he was hiding from someone. Stranger still, an odd mark has been drawn onto a stone beside his body. The next victims are two families on the outskirts of town. As the storm rises and the body count grows, Ellie realises she has a terrifying problem on her hands: someone - or some thing - is killing indiscriminately, using the storm for cover. The killer is circling ever closer to the village. The storm's getting worse. . .and the power's just gone out.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book. This was an unexpected find for me. Lots of action. Wasn’t bored once in the story. The character development was just enough to feel for the characters and engage with the plot. The concept was great, a little reminiscent of Lovecraft. At first you think it’s going to a certain type of book and the it takes a completely different turn. I hate spoilers so won’t go on. The narrator was also very good. Definitely worth the listen!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A really good story with characters you will want to root for. The horrible characters of Liz and Kiera didn't get as bad of an ending as they really should have. These people were so despicable. The ending went on a bit too long but overall a good story. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was fantastic.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Holy cow...Great audiobook!!!The characters, good, bad, and the ugly were so well developed that you felt everything you were supposed to with every action made. The horror was present and made realistic with great visual depictions. Unique and layered storyline, was screaming with suspense. There was no shortage of injustices, and all lingering questions were tied up. Let us not forget the narrator who gave so much to the story and drove home the characters. Phenomenal for me, I couldn't put it down.
