I listened to all 5 available books, the story is definitely promising, however the main character Casey is under skilled and doesn't seem to evolve, eventually her overpowered burn everything down response becomes tiresome. In addition, her partne, Bishop, has zero personality, she's an intentional keep it on the inside type of character, but this really flattens their interactions and makes the sidekick character an uninteresting. Then you have the narration, which has a AI generated rhythmic pattern and a lack of range so that many characters are indistinguishable other than the extra flat computerized pattern to Bishop's voice. Overall I had a hard time finishing the series, and I'm disappointed that another book is required to find out what happens, I don't say I'll be reading it.
