About this audiobook

What happens when a hellraiser turned hot cop is stuck with a headstrong heiress he’s determined to protect...and resist?

A run-away bride, wearing a freakin’ tiara, and carrying a stolen lion cub, of all things. This was not how rowdy, bad-boy-turned-small-town-cop, Zander Landry expected his day to go.

He really didn’t expect his night to end with her sleeping in his bed after her near-kidnapping.

But his intense attraction to her and the feelings of protectiveness she stirs up? Oh, yeah, he knew those were coming.

She’s stunning, whip-smart, and trouble with a capital T.

Which means, he needs her to head right back the way she came. ASAP.

His town is exactly the way he wants it . . . crazy and trouble free.

Well, the crazy trouble he’s not related to anyway.

Stranded in a tiny town in her half-million-dollar wedding gown with no money and no place to go . . . today is going pretty much exactly the way Caroline Holland expected it to.

But the grumpy, tattooed, oh-my-god hot cop being the answer to all her problems isn’t at all what she expected.

Now that she’s turned all the criminal (and obnoxious) info about her exotic-animal-dealing ex-fiance over to Zander, she can kick back in a hammock with some sweet tea and relax.

Or not.

Turns out Caroline’s not the spoiled heiress Zander thinks she is. The gorgeous hellion wants in on the action and soon discovers just how dirty things can get in the bayou. And the bedroom.

More and more, Zander just wants her safe on the sidelines. But Caroline isn’t going anywhere until justice is done.

It’s a clash of wills that’s gonna get hotter than a crawfish boil in July. And the most fun the Landry family has had watching sparks fly since . . . well, the last book.

Erin Nicholas

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Erin Nicholas has been writing romances almost as long as she’s been reading them. To date, she’s written over thirty sexy, contemporary novels that have been described as “toe-curling,” “enchanting,” “steamy,” and “fun.” She adores reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines, and happily ever afters. Erin lives in the Midwest, where she enjoys spending time with her husband (who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books), her kids (who will never read the sex scenes in her books), and her family and friends (who claim to be “shocked” by the sex scenes in her books).

This was my first listen by Erin Nicholas. I have spent a bunch of time in Louisiana so I really appreciated the bayou nods. Caroline & Zander story starts out with a bang but things aren't always the way they appear. Really enjoyed the storyline & happy that Zander & Caroline got their HEA! Excellent narration by Desiree Ketchum & James R Cheatham. James is a new to me narrator & I really enjoyed his narration.

A runaway bride, Caroline, walks into a bar with a lion cub. Zander, the sheriff, feels he needs to help and take care of her. I liked the characters, I love books with big families. I like Erin Nicholas' style of writing. The steamy parts are enough to make anyone wet. Along with the voice of the male narrator, OMG. This narrating team did a good job with this audio. I surely plan to listen to devour all of Erin Nicholas' books. Give one a try and you'll be hooked.

More Great Times in the Bayou! Wonderful Story & Narration! ~

Erin Nicholas’ Autre, Louisiana is one of my favorite places visit, because spending time with the fabulously wild and crazy Landrys is always a treat and “Say It Like You Mane It” is no exception. Zander Landry was enjoying a rare moment of peace with his family at his grandmother Elllie’s bar looking for the perfect moment to escape to spend some time on the water with his fishing pole. Then she walked in, a woman, a gorgeous woman in a ridiculously big and over the top wedding dress, tiara included. She was looking for Donovan Foster because she wanted to give him something, to surrender a lion cub for his animal sanctuary. She leaves after handing the cub over and as much as Zander did not want to go after her his instinct kicks in and he finds her outside. Caroline Holland thought she had everything under control until her family sprung the surprise wedding on her. She is not your typical, cold feet, runaway bride, there is much more to her story and since nothing had gone as planned so far at least she came to the right place, stuck there or not, she knows it is her best bet to let Zander help her. I loved these two together and for each other but Zander can be his own worst enemy and needs to get over himself, lighten up and stop being so over protective. This brilliantly plotted story has it all, a perfect balance of drama, humor and witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Erin Nicholas, thank you for another wonderful and charming story, thanks for the laughs too.

~ And for the fabulous narration, James R. Cheatham and Desiree Ketchum did an amazing job bringing the characters and story to life. These talented narrators took each role and made it their own. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit the character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Desiree Ketchum nailed it as Caroline grasped her every emotion, her strength and her vulnerabilities with perfection, and Cheatham did the same for the broody, overprotective Zander. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen.
