About this audiobook
A traitor in search of redemption. A king’s champion on a mission.
He wants to free his people, but she’s determined he’ll never succeed.
The moment Griffin crossed into the prison realm, every fae he’d ever known forgot he existed. Left with nothing—not even his magic—he’s had to survive in a land of eternal darkness where a ruthless king terrorizes his subjects.
Now, he must return to his homeland with one purpose—destroy the magic binding the Dark Fae to the prison realm—or suffer the consequences.
But he isn’t alone. Riona, a devoted supporter of the Dark King, watches his every move, forcing him to remain focused on their mission, even when facing a brother who does not recognize him, a former love who doesn’t know him, and two children who could be the key to everything.
This time, Griffin will have to decide if becoming a traitor—again—will lead to the redemption he seeks.
Don’t miss the chance to lose yourself in a dark and gritty fantasy realm with masterful world building, powerful magic—and a devastatingly flawed fae prince.

Ten years ago Griffin O'Shea left his realm and entered the prison realm, thus being forgotten by all who knew him and losing his magic as soon as he crossed the barrier never to return. But the evil king of the Prison realm has threatened him, those he grew to love in his ten years of exile, and now this king has found the magic to destroy the barrier and destroy Griffin's home realm.
This is a pretty good series, and it surprised me that I enjoyed it as much as I did. There were a few things that I questioned concerning the actions of the characters, and I also feel that the characters, especially the dark fae, weren't consistently described. For me, they blended in with the other characters until many chapters later I was reminded that they looked different. More of a reminder, I feel, would have drawn me in more to their fears because they looked different. And that was a 'moral' to this book, focusing on everyone should get along no matter how different they look.
I highly recommend this series, but because of the violence, to mature readers fourteen and older.
