About this audiobook

Forbidden Love...

Holt Calson was born with an 11-figure spoon in his mouth to one of the wealthiest families in the world. The night we met, I only had 11 dollars in my purse, and it was all the money I had in the world. We were never supposed to meet, much less be together. But Holt didn't care. He just wanted me.

What Calsons want, Calsons get. And for one blazing summer, we had it all. Until....

Reader Note: This is part 1 of the Ruthless Second Chance Duet, the epically romantic story of Holt and Sylvie.

Awesome story, but I had to remove one star due to the male narrator's horrific Jamaican accent. It was everything BUT Jamaican!

Why are the parents always terrible people? In this instance both parental need to kick rocks! Holt knows loneliness, trauma, and depression. Sylvie is a good girl who tries to please others. The one time she allows herself to want & have something it changes her life.

I don’t think the author did her research when it comes to immigrants who moved to America as a child. If the heroine moved to America as a child, she wouldn’t have a strong Jamaican accent as she got older. It would be dilated mix with an American accent. Plus the accent is freaking terrible. But the story itself is good so I’ll read the book instead lol
