To be honest, I really thought this had been written by a man, especially when mentioning her “dripping lady come”. That must have come from her lady boner.
    Very educational lol.

Disappointing. As a previous reviewer wrote, it seemed like it was written by a clueless man who doesn’t know or understand women at all.

The male characters were written as painfully juvenile. Their thought processes were so simplistic, and their primary thoughts focused on “getting laid”. Then the women entered the story, and they were EXACTLY the same. The h’s friends were all about hooking up with strangers and spoke like 13 year old boys. Even during the crazy college years, I have never known women who talked and acted like this. It was bizarre, as if every character, male/female 25 or 105 was written as a fifteen year old boy. I really knew the author didn’t “get” the way real women think when the H thinks to himself “Leave it to women to trust their friends with a cold blooded killer.” Because no. No sane woman meets up with blind internet dates and allows them to give them drinks that could have been laced. No sane woman allows a total stranger (especially one who gives off mean, bossy vibes) to go after her friend in her place after that friend leaves a bar to get away from being set up. These “friends” don’t talk about anything except getting D or hooking their friend up for D (stranger D, at that). And this entire thing was so one dimensional, it was painful and utterly misogynistic.

I gave this book a chance because it was advertised as being a best selling author, to which I can only now wonder why it was best selling? It was terrible. I’m no prude and like spicy books. I’ll read Black Dagger Brotherhood books all day long. Sex, language and violence don’t bother me in terms of books, but the sheer stupidity and lack of critical thinking in this book was intolerable. The narrator was good but couldn’t save this. Hard pass.

I did enjoy the story line, I feel like it was rushed and was missing what could have been fun flirty parts while the couples got to know each other, and we as the readers could have gotten to know the characters.

Recommended by a friend. I hear there are like dozens of books in the series.
    Narrator was good.
