About this audiobook
An Adams Grove Novel—clean and wholesome small-town love stories with a touch of suspense from Nancy Naigle.
When beloved town matriarch Pearl Clemmons dies on a warm June afternoon, the folks of Adams Grove, Virginia, can hardly believe it. Sure, Pearl was eighty-five years old, but everyone—particularly her granddaughter Jill—just assumed she would live forever. Now Jill must return home to settle Pearl’s estate, comfort a town in mourning…and face Garrett Malloy, the man who broke her heart years ago.
Making matters worse, a string of break-ins at the Clemmons place has Jill and the rest of the town on edge. She can’t imagine what Pearl possibly could have had that is worth stealing. But when Jill’s safety is threatened, she and Garrett must join forces to unearth Pearl’s secrets before someone else—someone dangerous—gets there first. Garrett may have been the last man Jill wanted to see, but now, she may not want to let him go.
Revised edition: This edition of Sweet Tea and Secrets includes editorial revisions and new scenes.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5When Jill returns to a small American town following the death of Pearl she is forced to relive her ill fated romance with Garrett and consider her choices in life - she also has to find out what is going on before she comes to physical harm. This story leaves few cliches of the genre alone and the message is quite clear - small town is better than big city and family loyalty is better than anything. There was nothing surprising in this book and there was little that will stay with the reader after they are finished but it is enjoyable enough reading if you like this genre and like your books predictable.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Jill and Garrett were childhood sweethearts until Jill breaks it off after a misunderstanding. Then Bradley comes along and steals her away with his big city charms and a job offer she couldn’t refuse—working for one of his charities. Jill’s grandma Pearl, who raised her, thinks that Jill has made a mistake and at every opportunity she tries to her back together with Garrett. The problem is that Jill won’t even forgive him. All that changes when Pearl passes away and Jill, home for the funeral, realizes that staying mad at the one person who can help her through her grief and protect her when Pearls house is broken into, is making matters worse. Nancy Naigle’s Adams Grove mystery is full of southern country charm, funny dialogue, a big wonderful dog and great recipes. I enjoyed it, and think that you’ll like it if you like Fannie Flaggs’ stories. There are more installments to come. I read this on kindle.
