About this audiobook

I thought I had it bad when my enemy was an evil asshole I had no relation to whatsoever. Turns out it gets much worse when your own sister takes his place.

Ever since I found out I was adopted by my werewolf family, I longed to know where I came from, where I belonged. Now that my wolf showed me her memories, and Haworth confirmed who my father was, I want nothing more than to forget.

But suffering from an identity crisis is the least of my worries now that my sister has shown me her true face. Taking over in Haworth's stead after she killed him, she's determined to figure out how to perform a very powerful possession spell, and I just happen to be the perfect candidate. Needless to say it sucks to be framed by your own sister, but I have a feeling worse things are coming.

The past is still not done with me. The future seems to want nothing to do with me. Everyone around me is falling apart one way or the other because of me, and my time to fix things is running out. But with the help of new found allies and old friends, I'm stronger than ever. I might be destined for failure, but one thing is for sure: I will not stop.

Contains mature themes.

Seriously the only good thing about this book is winter Wayne guess stars in it! Victoria the main character continues to be completely whiny and seems to have no common sense! I have been nothing but disappointed with this series, which is a shame because DN is usually a great author!

The main female is rather irritating, which makes finishing this book very hard.

This review may contain spoilers, so fair warning, upon reading the review.IntroductionWolf Unleashed is a story that I was so thrilled to read. This is a series that is so much fun and unforutnatley I have been HIGHLY neglecting all of this time. But wow this one was just so wonderful. I didn't have many issues with it, it was really one major issue, but the rest of the story was just flawless. There is something so unique about the way in which Paige Tyler writes her PNR. I love the sense of danger and suspense that she implements, her writing is edgy and thrilling and guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. I can guarantee that you won't be able to put her books down either! They are THAT good! I just adore the way in which she wrote this one and it has some intriguing elements that will instantly pull you in. But fair warning there is animal abuse. The Main ProtagonistsThe Hero: Alex Travino-Alpha-Wolf Shifter-Law EnforcementThe Heroine: Lacey Barton-Animal Vet-Fighter against animal abuseSummaryWhen Alex and Lacey first meet each other, there is an instant attraction that they have to each other. They meet due to similiar circumstances for their jobs, but there is an attraction and the hero definitely pines for the heroine, but she doesn't instantly return to. Lacey is focused on her job and saving animals and that is her primary focus. But when she and Alex keep bumping into each other, she starts to cave to his attention and the attraction that sizzles. But right when their relationship kicks off, Alex is revealed as a wolf shifter and it terrifies Lacey to the point where she doesn't know if she can move foward with Alex. But Alex is determined to be patient and wait for Lacey to choose him. But when her sister's life is brought into the game of their enemy, they will have to work together to keep her alive...My OutlookThere were many elements to this story that I just found intriguing. We have the mystery of dogs being forced into death matches, so there is animal abuse so fair warning on this before reading this book. I really enjoyed the way the author had handled this aspect. We then see the SWAT team working on bring down this drug that is popping up and there is some political connection to it as well. I am very intrigued by the chief of police though, I have a feeling he is corrupt though and very fascinated to see where the series will take that role of his. I found the romance itself to be quite fascinating. I adored how endearing their relationship is and how well these two hit it off, but I will be honest I was disappointed in our fair maiden of a heroine. One she is super reckless, and doesn't take accountability for it at all. Then when its revealed who Alex is, she treats him so badly, like he is this evil monster. I just really struggled with her reaction and how she treats him, and quite frankly, he let her off WAY too easy.Overall ViewWolf Unleashed is a powder keg of a romance, its thrilling to keep you on the edge and will keep your mind fascinated working through the mystery that develops....HIGHLY INTENSE OF A READ!Rating Evaluation:Plot: 5World Building: 5Cover: 4Hero: 5Heroine: 3Steam: 4Heart & Feels: 4Ending: 5Overall View: 4

The pendulum has swung back to too explicit sex, again. The story is also less interesting because the relationship part has become somewhat formulaic (insta-love. Oh no, werewolf! Unhappy separation. Insta-love prevails), and the crime part is...weird and unlikely. Dogfighting, drugs, black market organs, kidnapped girls in a very convenient tangle - and the whole thing would have been over with no crisis (beyond the relationship) if they had ever discussed what the heck she thought she was doing in that junkyard. The thing that actually surprises me the most is that in all that ranting she did she never once (apparently) mentioned any names, or if she did Alex wasn't listening. Lots of missed links/opportunities here - and that's authorial fiat rather than organic development. I'm still reading, but maybe I'll take a break from the series for a bit.

I didn't particularly care for this book, which was disappointing because I have liked the other books in the series. While I loved Alex, I hated Lacey. She sent too many mixed messages and she wasn't very forthcoming with herself.

Wolf Unleashed by Paige TylerNon stop action as the next werewolf on the SWAT team finds The One for him while dodging bullets and falling in love. It's a bit mad-cap, a bit humorous, and a bit dreamy with all those hot and buff men fall in love.Fast, fun, flirty and fabulously entertaining. Perfect escapism.

Paige Tyler’s A Wolf Unleashed has become my favorite book in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. Wolf shifter Alex Trevino meets veterinarian Lacey Barton when he takes the teams dog, Tuffie, in for appointment. He is instantly attracted to Lacey but finds that it is a challenge to get her to go out with him. Then Lacey younger sister, Kelsey, goes missing, and she turns to Alex for help. This contemporary PNR takes place in Dallas. It is suitable for adult audiences.I love animals, so I instantly fell in love with both animal loving characters. Alex is a great guy. Not only is he SWAT, but he is a licensed paramedic. He is selfless and brave. He has had trouble controlling his wolf and could only partially shift. I like that his wolf evolves in this story. He is creative and comes up with the perfect dates. I love how canines respond to him, especially Ralph. Lacey is an admirable heroine. She is a feisty and courageous. I appreciate that she helps the Dallas police department’s Animal Cruelty Squad with injured and abused animals. She is fierce when it comes to protecting animals and the ones she loves. Lacey doesn’t make it easy on Alex. However, the two are the perfect couple.I enjoyed the plot. There were a lot of different components, especially with the criminal cases. I valued how everything fit together. I think it is great that the SWAT team, and their significant others are like family. I like how Paige Tyler always includes a prologue with the accident that causes the main character to turn into a werewolf. I love Paige Tyler’s SWAT series; A Wolf Unleashed was a perfect addition. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
