- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5(Crosby & Madison): TRIGGERS: sex trafficking, assault. Finally, we get to Madison and Crosby. These two have been tiptoeing around each other since book one. But this time, Crosby is no longer a cop but returning for the McKenzie's. This annoyed me because while working for him, he was still extremely judgmental about how they did things and played it like a broken record. Madison seemed a little desperate at the beginning, pushing to be with Crosby even when he denied her. I didn't really enjoy this book as much as the other two but it was ok. I did like that Madison's dad seemed to soften a little and ended up finding happiness as well.
