About this audiobook
Small-town florist Ashley Gaines loves her little flower shop and putting together the perfect bouquets for weddings and other happy occasions. Her own love life, however, is far from blossoming. Ash has decided that staying in the closet is safer than risking her heart again.
Local bakery owner Sasha Peterson hasn't had much luck mixing it up with romance either. Besides, she's too busy whipping up delicious treats to have time for a relationship. But when their town's first lesbian wedding forces them to work together, Ashley and Sasha discover they have more in common than they imagined.
During food fights, cake tastings, and slow waltzes, they begin to see each other in a new light. Soon Ashley has to admit to herself that Sasha is tempting more than just her sweet tooth.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Sweet, sad, funny and sexy. It was nice that all the characters from the 1st book were included in a big way.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The audio is very bad. The story jumps from one place to another, cutting some parts and making very difficult to follow as it goes back and forth. Chapters make no sense either, all mixed up.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautifully written. It has it all. Funny, sad and very sexy
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a really sweet (and slightly heartbreaking, wrt: the angst that coming out can bring) from an author that I’ve pretty much enjoyed everything I’ve read of hers so far, and a narrator that is the same. Definitely recommend.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely love this book and also wonderfully narrated by Angela Dawe!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Sasha and Ashley should have eloped and started a new life in new place at the end of the book lol.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A cute story with deep and believable characters. I loved it. I was pleasantly surprised to “see” Holly and Leo (from one of my favorite Jae books “perfect Rhythm) again. The phrases “heat rushed to her face” and “her eyes fluttered shut” are used a bit much :D (Ashley being shy and blushing easily and Sasha being a baker who makes delicious treats that apparently make “eyes flutter shut” when people taste them ;) ) but it really wasn’t annoying, it just made the story cuter (though it was more than just “cute.” I could really feel for/with the characters) ok I need to stop writing this rambling review

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I very much enjoyed this sweet, slow-burn romance - exactly what I expect and hope for with a Jae novel.
If you're a fan of cameos from previous books - within and without the series being read - you'll love this one. I, however, am not but it didn't take away too much from my enjoyment of the overall story. Jae's skill at creating characters who are real and flawed really shines for me in this book. Ashley and Sasha also had great chemistry. And I've also got a good guess as to which characters we might see as the MCs of a future book. Not a bad thing!
If you're a fan of Jae's work, you'll definitely enjoy Not the Marrying Kind. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I was given this ARC by the publisher in exchange for an Honest Review. So, this book takes place in the same universe as "Perfect Rhythm". Holly and Leo are getting married and they want Sasha (a baker) and Ashley (a florist) to work together on the wedding. Except Sasha used to have a crush on Ashley in high school, not to mention, Ashley is so so far in the closet that she can barely see the light of the world. And so there is even more back and forth in their relationship than usual for these two. Not just in a 'does she like me or not' way, but also Ashley really struggling with whether or not she should come out, which I thought was really really well written. It was another awesome book by Jae, and I know that I'd love to read another book in this series. Aunt Mae? Heh.
