About this audiobook

Wrong Number, Right Woman is a light-hearted, slow-burn lesbian romance that embraces likable characters without all the drama.

A single text message can change everything!

Flirting has never been Denny’s strong suit, but so what if she’s too shy to ask women out? She’s content with her simple life, working as a cashier and helping her sister raise her niece.

But then she gets a wrong-number text message from a stranger named Eliza, asking her of all people for dating advice!

Eliza is Denny’s total opposite: witty, outgoing—and straight. Despite their differences, the accidental text sparks an unlikely friendship. Soon, Eliza—self-proclaimed queen of disastrous first dates—would rather banter back and forth with Denny than to keep trying her luck at online dating.

When they meet in person, there’s an instant connection. But what Eliza is feeling can’t be attraction, right? It doesn’t mean a thing that she’s starting to wish the guys she dates would be more like Denny. Or does it?

Can the wrong number lead to the right woman after all?

Author

Jae

Jae grew up amidst the vineyards of southern Germany. She spent her childhood with her nose buried in a book, earning her the nickname "professor." The writing bug bit her at the age of eleven. For the last seven years, she has been writing mostly in English. She works as a psychologist. When she's not writing, she likes to spend her time reading, indulging her ice cream and office supply addiction, and watching way too many crime shows.

    Another winner from Jae
I really liked this book. The main characters were so very likable and real. The connection between them was authentic and developed naturally. The supporting characters were also well done and added a lot to the story. I’d love a sequel to this book! The author kept me guessing a bit about who was going to end up with whom. I found that refreshing.

The writing is very good! The author is clever with plotting, words, and dialogue.

OMG, the audiobook with Angela Dawe just brings the story to life more! Except that it's 12 hours long, it's a new favorite audiobook!

I really enjoyed the more diverse queer representation in this story. I enjoyed the friendship formed ahead of the romance which wasn’t quite slow burn though I was definitely yelling out loud at some point, “kiss her!” This is a tender story and it’s rife with the kind of acceptance and love everyone wants. This might be one of my favorite of Jae’s.

Very sweet story without loads of angst. Funny and feel good with characters I want to keep reading about. And I was so glad it was funny without giving me secondhand embarrassment.

Cute love story. It has friendship, love and lust in a cute and respectful way. It is a good testimony for any girl/woman who may have confusing feelings for a woman. I think all women who have romantic/sexual feelings for women have gone through this similar situation as "sneaker woman".

It was a cute story. Granted, there was a point where I was like, “WE GET IT— EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!” But, it was a nice feel-good listen.

I quite enjoyed this book. It's like watching a show instead of a movie where you get to learn more about the characters. It's a slow burn but I felt like I was going on the ride with them. It didn't actually feel long while some books that's much shorter felt like forever and I just wanted it to end already.

As usual, Jae has NOT disappointed. This slow burn romance has all of the feels and quite a few very funny spots that will have you chuckling out loud.

Throw in the talents of Angela Dawe and you can not go wrong. (No pun on title intended)
