About this audiobook

It's Valentine's Day in Christmas River, but the holiday promises to be anything but sweet for Cinnamon Peters.

When asked to help judge the prestigious Chocolate Championship Showdown Competition at the last minute, the pie baker extraordinaire is hesitant about putting down her rolling pin in place of a clipboard. But when she discovers that one of her cojudges will be famous celebrity chef Cliff Copperstone, Cinnamon agrees to help.
It's a decision she'll live to regret.

When a freak blizzard hits Christmas River on the day of the competition, Cinnamon finds herself not only in the middle of a crisis, but also in a mystery as sinister and dark as a bar of bittersweet chocolate. Cinnamon is an expert pie maker, but she has met her Waterloo when it comes to chocolate sculptures. She entered a contest, but is about ready to withdraw after another disaster with her creation. Then a miracle happens and she is asked to fill in as a judge instead. Unfortunately, a severe winter storm hits the same day as the contest. Power is lost and the lights go out in the middle of the judging. And then the celebrity judge is found outside unconscious, with a serious head injury. It’s just another day in the life of Cinnamon Peters. But after getting lost in the storm, she may not live to see another. This series is an exciting one, with great characters and interesting plots.
