About this audiobook

Hugely popular romance author Gwyneth Atlee returns with a heart-rending tale of deception, betrayal, lust and lost innocence. Set on a Memphis estate during the summer of 1862, Innocent Deceptions is the story of Charlotte Randolph, a Southern lady who, through circumstance, is forced to spy for the Confederacy. This highly entertaining historical romance will sweep listeners away with its rich period detail and passionately drawn characters.

This is no [Gone with the Wind]. A so-so story perporting to be a romance about a young girl left to defend her home (and her little brother) while the men were out doing the real fighting. This was an audio book I listened to during a snow storm when nothing else was available and I was too ill to sit up and hold a real book. I wouldn't put in on my 'read it again' list.
