- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This is no [Gone with the Wind]. A so-so story perporting to be a romance about a young girl left to defend her home (and her little brother) while the men were out doing the real fighting. This was an audio book I listened to during a snow storm when nothing else was available and I was too ill to sit up and hold a real book. I wouldn't put in on my 'read it again' list.
