Accidentally Compromising the Duke
Author

Stacy Reid

I am an avid reader of novels with a deep passion for writing. I especially love romance and adore writing about people falling in love. I live a lot in the worlds I create and I actively speak to my characters (out loud). I have a warrior way “never give up on my dream.” When I am not writing, I spend a copious amount of time drooling over Rick Grimes from Walking Dead, watching Japanese Anime and playing video games with my love. I also have a horrible weakness for Ice cream. :)

The narrator needs to be more careful with name .. sometimes she was referred to as Adiline and sometimes as Adele

I loved this book so much! I think this is always a fact when it’s a Stacy Reid book. I must say that the earlier chapters had me so angry and on the verge of tears. I hated Evie’s character so much and vowed I would not even give her book a glance. I still don’t like her but the ending of this book was so beautiful I might just change my mind.

I was very intrigued by the premise of accidentally compromising a duke and all that it would entail. And I was dying to see how the sexual tension between them would unfold. Perhaps my expectations are at fault for this. On the other side, while I understood the hero's trauma I think it was exaggerated and dragged on for too long. Another thing that I deeply disliked was the portrayal of friendship. If that's friendship, I want non of this. But despite all that, I did enjoy Reid's writing and I'll be reading more of her.

I cannot explain how much I loved this story. What started out as a big disaster ended up in happiness. I loved Adeline, her strength and courage. And Edmund, so cold, stoic and so strong but with a big mushy heart. I loved the girls and was happy they had a mama. Wonderful book

Edmond and Adeline share a wonderfully romantic story that manages to weave almost seamlessly through their struggles and deliver a beautiful ending.
