Hugh & Edmund were the only heroes that I actually liked.

Really didn't like Richard (although, had the author not made him so callous & cruel, he'd probably be my favourite one) & Tobias was borderline abusive in his cold, harsh & unfeeling ways.

Most of the parents in this series are AWFUL, parents trying to marry off their daughters to men who nearly raped them, being the worst of it.

I can't say that I'm a fan of the author's apparent belief that the heroes & heroines can be as despicable as possible, so long as there's an I love you at the end...

The series in all, was more miss than hit for me...

Enjoyable well written characters! Enjoyed all but Richard and Hugh stole my heart! The Leading men were so different but still sexy!
